Tegu on teise osaga kaheosalisest vestlusest Ahti Heinlaga Starshipist.

Ahti ja Starshipi teekond pole olnud sirgjooneline. Alguses tuli lahendada palju suuri probleeme korraga. “Hardware is hard!” nagu öeldakse.

This is the second part of a two-part conversation with Ahti Heinla from Starship.

The journey for Ahti and Starship has not been straightforward. In the beginning, many major problems had to be solved at once. “Hardware is hard!” as the saying goes. Technology is necessary, but not sufficient, to provide a global service. In this episode, I ask Ahti how they develop their product and what it takes to reach more markets.

Ahti also talks a little about his own background and where he focuses his time and attention today.

If this is the first part of our conversation you have come across, I recommend listening to the previous episode too. We discussed how Starship's robot works, which helps explain why technical and business complexity are so closely intertwined in this business.

Enjoy the conversation!

I also recommend Andres Kütt's interview with Ahti on the memcpy podcast, where they discuss Estonia's IT sector in the 1990s and what programming and IT companies were like then: https://edasi.org/36655/podcast-memcpy-kulas-on-ahti-heinla/
